Robin Russell

Robin founded Corbel to service the Heritage sector over 23 years ago. Logic dictated creating a joinery business to design and manufacture fine products in timber, demanded by the Corbel projects. It was an easy step to supply beautiful joinery to others in the same industry and private individuals who could benefit from the skills and experience.

Chris Foster

Chris has been a Director of the joinery from the outset, growing the business steadily to what it is now. With a career founded in heritage and ecclesiastical Joinery with Houghtons of York, Chris is ideally placed to set the standards required and expected within this sector.

Following his craft training, Chris continued his training in a management capacity, which lead to a ten year period as a heritage project manager on multiple award winning projects across the country.

Chris aims for a collaborative team who know the importance and respect the buildings we provide items for, whilst developing modern management techniques to constantly improve the way we do things.

Richard Tomsett

Having run several other workshops and his own highly successful business over a period of twenty plus years, Rich joined Corbel to pass on his knowledge and skills to another generation. His organisational prowess, customer service and quality standards are of the highest order, meaning that all of our products that leave the shop are in line with both your’s and our high expectations.

Tim Hayes

Tim has a career that spans over twenty five years in the carpentry and joinery sector, starting on the bench, to running workshops, Tim now oversees the joinery activity whilst operating as a contracts manager for our major sites. Tim’s exemplary knowledge and standards are fed through to our teams to ensure the highest of quality is always maintained.

Tabitha Divall

Tab is the person who looks after all our accounts and general admin. She keeps all the orders and invoices just so. With a background in Construction and personal training, she is super organised and efficient. A keen triathlete and runner, she trains weekly and around the world, winning numerous accolades.

Michal Barabasz

Michal has a diverse background in joinery of all types, with a real specialism in stairs and curved work. He has been with Corbel from the outset and therefore knows the business and our products inside out. Michals experience allows him to ably assist Richard in the running of the workshop, whenever the need arises.

Mark Westlake

Mark another of our senior joiners has been in the industry for in excess of forty years. This extensive knowledge means that Mark really covers all of the basis from the weird to the wonderful he can take anything on. Being CAD trained Mark also undertakes our workshop drawings whenever the need arises, an asset that is increasingly rare within our industry.

Tommy Ingersent

Tommy is our chief sprayer and finisher. Having worked in the kitchen and fitted furniture sector for over ten years Tommy’s level of finishing is of the highest order. Largely working out of our dedicated spray shop, Tommy can finish all of our products to any specification, should the requirements be needed.
